Road scenes

Don’t just imagine it and memorize it. Watch it and understand it.

Situational permit-test questions come with an animated top-down road scene. You see the situation before you answer and watch the rule play out after.

The gap between the book and the road

Handbooks describe traffic situations in words. On the test, and later on the road, you have to picture them yourself.

  • “Yield to the vehicle on the right” is easy to memorize and easy to mix up.
  • Distances, lanes and who moves first are hard to imagine from a paragraph.
  • Memorized answers fade; a situation you’ve watched is easier to recall.

How it works

  1. Before you answer: the still

Above the question you see a still of the situation: your car, the other vehicles and the signs or signals that matter.
  2. After you answer: the animation

Once you answer, the scene plays out with short captions that show what the rule means and why the right answer is right.
