Driving Safely
Florida law requires all front-seat occupants and everyone under 18 to wear a seatbelt. Seatbelt violations are a primary offense — police can stop you for that alone.
Texting while driving is a primary offense in Florida, and handheld phone use is banned in school and work zones.
Keep both hands on the wheel and scan 10–15 seconds ahead so you have time to react to hazards.
